Batches & costing
Track every delivery, its cost and expiry, and let Sukbay work out true profit.
A batch is one delivery of a product: how many you received, what each cost you and the price you sell at. Many batches can exist for one product.

Batches — Black Label
Every delivery with its own cost, price and expiry. Oldest sells first (FIFO).
Single Price Management
All batches use the same selling price. FIFO tracks actual purchase costs for profit calculation.

Why batches matter#
Sukbay sells from the oldest batch first (called FIFO — first in, first out). The cost of that batch becomes the cost of the sale, so your profit is always the real difference between what you sold for and what that stock cost you.
Adding a batch#
- 1
Open the product's Batches
Press Batches on the product card.
- 2
Add New Batch
Enter quantity, cost price and selling price. Add an expiry date and quality grade if useful, and note whether you have a supplier receipt.
- 3
Choose where it is kept
Pick the warehouse. You can split one batch across several warehouses.
- 4
Save
The product's total stock updates by itself.
Reading a batch#
| Panel | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Stock level | How many are left of the original amount. |
| Financial | Cost per unit, selling price and profit per unit. |
| Profit analysis | Profit now, margin %, and the profit you will make if the rest sells. |
| Batch info | Date created, quality, receipt, barcode. |
Verification by the warehouse staff#
If the batch is added to a warehouse that has staff, they receive a card in Chat and must confirm the physical count. The batch then shows whether it is verified or has a discrepancy. See Chat & verification.
Actions on a batch#
- Edit — correct cost, price, quantity or expiry.
- Log Expense — record a cost tied to that stock (transport, customs).
- Report Damage — remove damaged or lost units and keep a record.
- Delete — removes the batch. Sold-out batches stay for history.
- Share — send the batch details.
Changing a price#
In Single Price Management press Update Product Price. You can apply the new price to existing batches too. Every change is saved in the product's history.
Which warehouse does a batch edit take from?#
A batch can be split across warehouses. If you lower its remaining quantity, Sukbay asks which warehouse to take the units from, so the other warehouses are not changed. Raising the quantity asks where to add.
Expiry#
Set an expiry date on a batch. The batch card shows an Expiring soon count, and an alert is raised when the date is within your lead time (default 7 days). Sold-out batches are kept for history.
