# Warehouses

Keep stock in several places, move it between them, and decide what is sold online.

A warehouse is any place you keep stock: your shop floor, a storage room, a branch. Each has a name, location, capacity and manager.

## Sell online, per warehouse

Every warehouse has a **Sell online** switch. When it is on, customers in the app can buy the stock kept there. When it is off, the stock is *in-store only*: it is hidden from the customer app. Use this to keep your counter stock for walk-in customers.

> **Note:** A product shows as available online only if it has stock in a warehouse that sells online.

## Moving stock

1. **Open a product's warehouses.** Choose the product and the warehouse it is in.
2. **Transfer.** Pick the destination warehouse and quantity.
3. **The receiving side confirms.** The warehouse that receives the stock gets a verification card in Chat and confirms the count.
4. **Check Transfer History.** The Warehouses page keeps a log of who moved what, from where to where, and when.

## Branches

If your plan allows, turn on branch shop management to run several branches with their own warehouses. The banner at the top of the page shows how many you have used.

## Staff and warehouses

An employee can be assigned to one warehouse. They then see sales and analytics for that warehouse only.
